Life is Precious

Just saw this video linked on 4tunate. Grab a few tissues and watch it below. It is so touching, beautiful, and honest.

What a reminder to be thankful for every second you have here on Earth with your loved ones.

P.S. I have so many pictures of Summer's birthday, kids in buckets (again!), and my new god-daughter, Olivia!! I'll be posting them tomorrow :)

Happy Birthday, Summer Renee!

Three years ago today, our lives changed forever.

You are the most amazing three-year-old. You surprise us countless times a day with how smart you are. You can speak clearly in sentences. You even try to correct yourself when you don't say your "l's" right. You love animals, watching Little Bear and Barney, playing with your Barbies, and playing with your little sister. You love trips to the park, where you run around with all the other kids, sliding and swinging. You love to go to the zoo. You just watched your first real movie, Monsters Inc., and loved it, because it's about "nice monsters", unlike the kind you think are in your room that you make me spray with Monster Spray every night before bed. You love to play outside, especially with the hose. You just learned to swim with a float at the pool and love your new-found freedom. You are very innovative and determined. You will figure out how to get exactly what you want, no matter what it takes. You love your Doll, and recently stopped using pacifiers! You really enjoy dancing and pretending to be a "ballanina". You sing lots of songs, you know all of your colors, and you know your ABC's. You can even recognize most numbers and letters! You love for Daddy or I to read you stories. You are very independent, but also love to be near us and do what we are doing. You have been potty-training since you were 18 months old, but still want nothing to do with it. Your favorite foods seem to be chicken and cheerios. You almost always clean your plate. You love sweets and will do anything for a cookie.

Summer... You are what made me a mommy, and you will always be my baby girl, even though you would rather be a "big girl". This next year will be a great one as you continue to learn and grow. We love you!!

A Very Happy Birthday

Summer and Camryn's polka dot themed birthday party went really well this past Saturday. Lots of family and friends came to our house to celebrate.

I want to thank Audrey for making their tutus and hair bows. Aren't they adorable?! Go visit Lil' Booger Bows to order your own.

I'm not at all proud of this cake. I had to change the way I was making and decorating it at the last minute. Still tasted good, though!

A game of hacky sack in the back yard.

Getting ready to sing Happy Birthday

Audrey is about to pop. She is so uncomfortable at this point but still came to the party, I'm so glad she was there!

Opening presents

One of their favorite presents, a slide from my friend Nicole.

Tomorrow is Summer's official 3rd birthday. We're planning on either celebrating at home with a small cake or going to Chuck E. Cheese to play some games. The girls have never been there, so it should be fun to see how they react to it.

If you don't follow me on Facebook and are wondering why it took me a few days to post these pictures...

I've been too preoccupied scratching my Chigger bites. This is my back, I thought I'd spare you pictures of the bites all over my legs, stomach, armpits, and pelvic area. I got them on Sunday from walking around in a field behind Joe's dad's new house. I have never been so irritated and itchy in my life. I was the only one that got bit, amazingly. Thank goodness they are finally easing up a bit and getting smaller.

I hope everyone is having a great week!!
